There are a large number of interesting Side Trails in the CHBTC section – many of which make a pleasant loop hike, (see the Bruce Trail Reference Guide, maps 14 -18). Club volunteers are putting together descriptions of how the Side Trails obtained their names. The descriptions are a work in progress with some, but not all, CHBTC Side Trail stories currently listed here.

We are retaining this Side Trail Story of Dorothy Medhurst – who was one of the outstanding Club pioneers – pending construction completion and subsequent Side Trail and main Bruce Trail re-alignment.
