Sweetwater Badge Hike Series

This series of five hikes celebrates the glorious sugar maple as we move from winter toward spring. Should you choose to hike in March and April, you will surely have a sweet time out on the trails, and you may be lucky enough to observe the tapping of the trees and the sugar shacks turning sap into maple syrup.

To earn this Sweetwater Badge, you must complete all five hikes on your own or on organized hikes and submit the required photographs. There will be opportunities to see tap lines, sugar shacks, and majestic maples. You may even have a chance to see some sap being collected and turned into maple syrup. The trails are all in or near the Caledon Hills section of the Bruce Trail. Kilometre references are taken from the Bruce Trail Reference, Edition 31.
