Cross-country Skiers Out Already!

Did you know there are cross-country ski trails that you can access from the Caledon Hills section of the Bruce Trail?

The Hockleycrest Ski Trail Network consists of 14 km of single-track trails, on land belonging to five landowners, including the Bruce Trail Conservancy.  Trails are marked and maintained by one person on a voluntary basis. Most are groomed (packed and track-set) when practical in order to make them safer and more comfortable for trail users.

With all the recent snowfalls, the skiing in Hockley Valley is superb right now!  And as of today, track on most trails in the southern and central part of the network has been set.

This year, in an effort to separate incompatible uses (i.e. skiing and walking) two new trails are being opened, exclusively for the use of snowshoe enthusiasts.

Check out our webpage for important information and safety tips on cross-country skiing, including a downloadable trail map and link to trail condition reports, as well as snowshoeing around the Caledon Hills trails!
