Located just inside the park boundary, this connector side trail honours long-time Caledon Hills supporter and founder of the Tuesday Hiking Group, Dorothy Medhurst. Starting at km 10.0, this 440 m side trail climbs the steep wall of the valley and connects the old Dominion Road to the Main Trail on Puckering Lane. It’s also one of the 14 side trails in our section that will take you one step closer to earning your ‘Sideways’ Side Trail badge.

  1. So good to see Dorothy’s name. As a child I visited the cabin and hiked the Forks of the credit with Dorothy, my mom Linda Anderson and the rest of the kids in our 2 families. I was going through some of mom’s papers and found directions to the cabin. I saw a lot of trees on the Google map and figured I must be close. Dorothy was always planting trees. Mom and Dorothy were nursery school teachers together at one point. Whatever sport Dorothy’s daughter Abby Hoffman was competing in was what I’d be trying next. I’ll drive over for a hike when things settle down. Cheers from Port Perry, Judy
