The Caledon Hills Bruce Trail Club organizes a hiking schedule that includes hikes of varied lengths and difficulties. All hikes are organized and led by volunteers. To stay safe on the Trail, please take a look at our General Hike Information, Trail Changes, and Trail Safety pages.
Members and non-members are welcome to participate in our organized hikes!
Our organized hikes have been classified according to type (Introductory, Tuesday, General, Kids, Nature Walks) or badge (End-to-End, Sideways). To see all hikes organized by CHBTC in calendar format, check out the Bruce Trail Conservancy’s website.
We also organize Bed & Breakfast hiking trips twice a year.
And, if you prefer to plan your own hikes, the Self Guided Hikes section has a few ideas for you.
Hiking Update July 5/2020
The Caledon Hills BTC is ready to resume our organized group hikes subject to hiking protocols that have been developed in response to the Covid-19 pandemic.
Due to current Provincial regulations the hiking group size is limited to 10 people, including the hike leader. To participate you must be a BTC member and pre-register for the hike using the BTC’s Online Hike Schedule found at brucetrail.org. When you scroll over a hike that you are interested in you will see all the hike details that you are used to seeing and there will also be a spot to click on to register. This will present you with a waiver form to fill out. Your valid BTC membership # is required. Upon submission of this form to the hike leader you will receive a confirmation email which contains more detailed information about the Covid-19 restrictions.
